When Care Becomes Comfort: Honoring the Heroes Behind the Scenes

Feb 9, 2026 | Moore Care

In a moving tribute, TODAY show co-host Sheinelle Jones recently honored the compassionate in-home caregivers who supported her husband, Uche Ojeh, during his time in hospice. Sheinelle shared how these caregivers not only made his final days more comfortable, but also surrounded her and her family with compassion, strength, and unwavering support during their most difficult moments. “The only reason I even have the strength to talk about it,” she said, “is because I believe that they’re our heroes.”

Her words are a powerful reminder of the impact caregivers have during life’s most vulnerable seasons. Beyond medical support, caregivers offer presence, dignity, reassurance, and care that reaches far beyond the individual, touching entire families when they need it most.

Their work often happens quietly, but its impact is lasting.

At Moore Care, we believe deeply in the heroism of caregivers. Our team is made up of compassionate professionals who step in with heart, skill, and hospitality when families need them most. Let our caregivers be your family’s heroes, just like Sheinelle experienced, providing comfort, support, and peace of mind every step of the way.
