A Place of Permanence

Although Chris Rinaudo had already run Moore Care Caregiver Services for around a year, it was in 2019, when his father fell terminally ill, that the true value of his company’s services was thrown into sharp relief. Moore Care provides in-home assistance to help ill or debilitated patients in the greater Baton Rouge area, allowing them to maintain a certain standard of living.
The company specializes in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, rehab and support, private caregiver services, and live-in/24-hour care.
“Our team took care of him,” Rinaudo said. “That’s when it really kind of sunk in for me of how important it is to have additional care outside of the family.”
In his father’s final days, he and his siblings could rely on skilled, compassionate help so they could fully focus on those last, intimate moments instead of struggling through sleep deprivation and anxiety over medical support.
Soon after that emotional experience, Rinaudo decided it was time to find a single permanent, brick-and-mortar location for training and administration in Baton Rouge.
For several years the company had rented different office spaces to meet the needs of a rapidly growing team.
“Our mission is to take care of seniors, and the better we do taking care of our employees—our caregivers—the better care we can give to seniors,” he said. “Our management team really puts a lot of focus on taking care of our caregivers.”
It was not a difficult decision for Rinaudo to turn to Bank of St. Francisville—an institution he knew he could trust—and populated with people he had known all his life. Rinaudo, who was born and raised in St. Francisville, said those longstanding relationships were key in taking the next steps to elevate his business.
The bank provided Moore Care with financing to acquire and renovate a building on Perkins Road large enough to accommodate a management team of twenty and a broader employee base of more than two hundred people.
“I’m just a believer in owning the real estate that I’m in,” Rinaudo said. “We’ve got a strong growth plan and I thought it just made sense for us to own our own office space.”
The new office—comprising 5,000 square feet and two storeys—opened in November 2024.
According to Melvin Harvey, Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bank of St. Francisville, the bank was excited to partner with Moore Care Services and make Rinaudo’s dreams of owning his own property for the business a reality.
“BSF is proud to assist in expanding Moore Care Services in the Baton Rouge market,” Harvey said. “BSF is the fuel of prosperity in the communities we serve. This is our goal, which we strive for everyday at our St. Francisville and Baton Rouge offices.”
“Our mission is to take care of seniors, and the better we do taking care of our employees-our caregivers-the better care we can give to seniors”
The new space has allowed Moore Care the opportunity to invest in a higher quality training experience, Rinaudo explained. With better training aids and room to keep (for instance) a Hoyer lift on site, the caregiving team will have a stronger background when approaching different patient situations.
After years of juggling different offices and having team members spread across various locations, Rinaudo is looking forward to settling down: “This will last us for a while.”
